About the Course

Basic Stained Glass Class

Create Your Own 12" x 12" Stained Glass Panel

Learn the fundamentals of stained glass using the copper foil method and complete a 12" x 12" panel from start to finish. (Panel size up to a ​12" square, up to a 10" x 15" rectangle or a suncatcher.  No more that 20-25 pieces.)

  • Sunday Feb 8, 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Price

  • $175 dollars per person

What you will do

  • Design your own 12" x 12" panel or choose from one of Barb’s pattern books

  • Cut and shape glass pieces to fit your pattern

  • Wrap each piece with copper foil

  • Solder the panel and finish it for display

Panels are generally 15–20 pieces in total.

Who this class is for

  • No prior glass experience needed

  • Participants must be at least 14 years old

  • Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult who is also registered for the class

Materials provided All tools and materials are provided for use in class, including:

  • Glass in various colors and sizes

  • Cutters, running pliers and other basic tools

  • Paper and pattern materials

  • Grinder

  • Solder and soldering iron

What to wear

  • Old clothes or an apron

  • Closed-toe shoes

  • Long pants

Class size

  • Minimum: 2 participants

  • Maximum: 3 participants
