Basic Fusing Class
Create One 10" Fused Glass Dish or Two 6" x 6" Dishes
A two-session introductory class focused on cutting, layering and fusing sheet glass to create functional dishes.

$125 dollars per person
What you will do
Learn the basics of fusing with sheet glass
Design your own dish or select from several provided designs
Cut and layer glass according to your pattern
Create either one 10" fused glass dish or two 6" x 6" dishes
Choose a mold for slumping your piece into its final shape
The first class focuses on design, cutting and laying out the dish. The second class is used to complete the 10" dish or to create an additional 6" dish.
Barb will fire the work in her kiln, then slump it in a mold in a second firing. Dishes will be ready for pickup the following week at 11:00 am or by appointment.
Who this class is for
No prior glass experience needed
Basic cutting and layering techniques are taught in class
Participants must be at least 14 years old
Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult who is also registered for the class
Materials provided All materials are provided by the instructor, including:
Clear glass bases
Compatible glass for layering
Tools needed to cut and arrange the glass
What to wear
Old clothes or an apron
Class size
