Snowy Dusk is a quiet winter scene in fused glass, where bare trees line a lonely creek at dusk. Soft blues, violets, and warm golds blend across the sky, suggesting the last light of day over fresh snow. The entire landscape is built from layers of glass frit in several sizes, giving the snowbanks and frozen water a soft, textured surface. The trees were cut from flat sheet glass, then painted and shaded with frit powder before firing.

This one-of-a-kind fused glass wall piece has been fired three times in the kiln, each firing adding new layers of background and foreground for greater depth and dimension. The finished artwork is mounted in a black shadowbox-style frame, ready to hang and enjoy. Display it where light can move across the surface to bring out the subtle shimmer in the glass.
