Create Your Own 12" x 12" Stained Glass Panel

Learn the fundamentals of stained glass using the copper foil method and complete a 12" x 12" panel from start to finish. (Panel size up to a ​12" square, up to a 10" x 15" rectangle or a suncatcher.  No more that 20 pieces.) Cost of glass is not included. There are many discounted pieces of glass to choose from.

What you will do

• Design your own 12" x 12" panel or choose from one of available pattern books

• Cut and shape glass pieces to fit your pattern

• Wrap each piece with copper foil

• Solder the panel and finish it for display
  

Panels are generally 15–20 pieces in total.

Who this class is for

• No prior glass experience needed

• Participants must be at least 14 years old

• Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult who is also registered for the class
  

Materials provided These tools and materials are provided for use in class, including:

• Small pieces of Glass in various colors and sizes (already cut from standard size piece of 10" x 10")

• Cutters, running pliers, breaker/grozers

• Paper and pattern materials

• Grinders

• Solder and soldering iron

• Cleaners and finishing material Glass is available for purchase at discount prices

What to wear

• Old clothes or an apron

• Closed-toe shoes
